New Indie World Showcase reveals an exciting lineup of indie games coming soon to Nintendo Switch!

With such an extensive variety of indie games arriving on Nintendo Switch, there is something for everyone to look forward to! In a new Indie World Showcase presentation, Nintendo and its publishing and development partners from around the world revealed new details about 20 indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch family of systems, including four titles arriving today – Mini highwayssound trapOPUS: Echo of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition and Gibbon: Beyond the Trees† Presentation highlights include a first look at the noir-punk action adventure gunbrella from Doinksoft, with a weapon as intriguing as its name, as well as the debut of Another treasure of a crab from Aggro Crab, an adventure adventure set in a crumbling underwater world plagued by a mysterious curse. There’s so much more to discover in this Indie World Showcase! Other featured games include: ElecHeadan exciting ambitious platform game with mind-bending puzzles, and Oobletsa game about farming and collecting cute creatures.

  • Another treasure of a crab from Aggro Crab: In this shellfish-themed soul-esque game, you find yourself in an undersea world on the brink of collapse. As Krill, the hermit crab, you must use the waste around you as a shield to withstand attacks from enemies many times your size. Embark on an epic treasure hunt to discover the dark secrets behind the polluted ocean, with over 50 potential grenades to discover and a host of dangerous enemies to overcome.   • gunbrella from Doinksoft and Devolver Digital: Take on the role of a gruff lumberjack on a quest for revenge, armed with the mysterious Gunbrella. In this noir punk adventure game, your investigation will get caught up in the inner workings of ghosts and gangsters, cops and cultists, and other increasingly bizarre characters in a world that is rapidly losing its natural resources. Hunt for scraps and spare parts to upgrade your coveted weapon to slide, swing, sprint, dive and take out enemies in grueling side-scrolling combat. gunbrella launches next year on Nintendo Switch.

  • Mini highways from Dinosaur Polo Club: Have you ever been stuck in traffic and wished you could do something to fix it? In Mini highways, the city’s traffic problems are in your hands. Draw and build roads to create a bustling metropolis, redesign your city to keep traffic flowing, and carefully manage upgrades such as highways and roundabouts to meet changing demands.   • Ooblets from Glumberland: Raise and train cute little creatures called ooblets while cultivating a new life in Badgetown’s thriving community. Customize your character, befriend the locals, decorate your house, craft items, run your own shop and wage epic dance battles! You can also dress up your ooblet friends, play mini-games, and explore different locations in Oob, each with their own unique characters, quests, items, and unique ooblets.   • ElecHead from Nama Takahashi: Created by a one-person development team and prototyped as part of a school competition, ElecHead is a smart and challenging 2D puzzle platformer that will tickle your imagination. You play as Elec, a little robot on a mission to bring light back to the world. When Elec touches walls, floors, platforms, and switches, he activates them by running electricity through them. He can also detach and throw his head to activate things remotely, but be careful: if he doesn’t get his head back in 10 seconds, he’ll be knocked out.
