As much as I’d like to be a minimalist who meticulously manages the “things” in my house, I’m not. In addition to my job as a store editor and my tendency to treat myself, I have accepted that I will always have a full apartment. So while I like the idea of one pan replacing several others, that’s not why I decided to use the Always Pan† The truth is, I just loved the way it looked. And there is no shame in that. If you want cookware to be on the stove all the time, it has to look good, right?

When I got my . received Always Pan in the Blue Salt color I was not disappointed. It looks just as good IRL as it does on the computer screen. Fortunately, it is not just a beautiful kitchen item; it is also really functional.

I decided to cook ground beef for my Always Pan For the first time. When I use a regular pan it always sticks so I wanted the Always Pans non-stick capabilities put to the test. As promised, the cooking surface is amazingly smooth and the meat wasn’t sticky at all. I was also pleasantly surprised by how easy the Always Pan is to handle. While it looks firm, it isn’t heavy, and I was able to drain the meat easily by holding the pan in one hand and a slotted spoon in the other.

After my first success I decided to raise the bar by doing other things in my Always Pan† Four months later, I’ve used it to bake and steam dumplings, sauté chicken breasts with an accompanying lemon butter sauce, and even bake salmon fillets. Nothing has crashed so far and cleaning up is super easy. You can easily wipe the pan clean.

If I had one comment, it would be to read the usage instructions for the cooking surface of the . to follow Always Pan† I accidentally tried to grab a dumpling with a metal fork and made a small indentation in the bottom of the pan. That was definitely my fault. The packaging instructions explicitly warn against the use of metals or sharp objects that can damage the coating. That’s why the pan comes with a wooden spatula that won’t damage or damage it. So no fault of Our Place there, that was all mine.

While I won’t deny that $145 is pretty hefty for a pan, I still think the Always Pan is worth the money and hype. I still think it looks great, and you can cook so many different things in it. It’s also a great option if you’re a minimalist (not me) or if you’re just starting out with your kitchen collection. If you don’t already have a lot of pots and pans, you can really make anything with this a
